Unfortunately, it has been 3 years since Valve made any major updates for the CS 1.6 community, even though the game is still played by over 13,000 players on Steam, along with many others on the non-Steam version.

Even without official updates, Counter-Strike 1.6 continues to live on , thanks to its community. Across the years, countless communities have kept the game active by hosting servers, creating new game modes, and constantly improving the player experience. From classic public servers to competitive matches and custom mods, the community has always found ways to keep things fresh.

While Valve may have stepped back, the players never did.
